MTV – Punk’d by SalesTopia

MTV

200 of the slickest and hippest that MTV had to offer thought they were in for two hours of trust falls and role-playing with Salestopia, the worlds best worst corporate training team. Once they’d all drawn pictures of their nightmares, and we introduced the Failure Goblin, we had them close their eyes and try their best to imitate the sounds of a rainforest (replete with the ululation of the far off natives). After we couldn’t take it anymore we let them know. MTV’d just been Punk’d.

Improv Competition + Open Bar = Fun

NBC

After a series of intensive and information heavy presentations NBC was looking for a memorable end to their three-day sales team training sessions. Something exciting to cap off the event. Split into seven groups we led them in a three hour hands on improv workshop covering the ideas of team-building, agreement, support and listening. Then we let them loose on each other in a no-holds barred improvisational throw-down. The competition was as stiff as the drinks, and the winners emerged with some fantastic prizes and a ton of great memories.

Song and Dance in the Bahamas

OSI Pharmaceuticals

OSI Pharmaceutical needed a way to spice up four days of power point slide shows and trust falls at their training convention in the Bahamas. UCB TourCo sent four of the most talented improvisers from our New York theater. We rewrote the lyrics to a top 10 pop song, recorded a brand new track and choreographed an entire dance routine on moving treadmills (bet you can’t guess the song)!

New York Survival Guide

Bacardi

Bacardi flew journalists from all over the world to New York City for an insider tour of the city.  Looking for some additional last-minute entertainment, Bacardi needed a way to welcome and introduce these international professionals to the program. Our “experienced” NYC Safety Officers were happy to demonstrate the dangers visitors should expect when first coming to New York. From avoiding the many sewer alligators and realizing the value of hugging your club bouncers to the proper etiquette of drunken helicopter piloting, these journalists were good to go.

Fake Tour/Real Improv Show

Brooklyn Museum

The Brooklyn Museum wanted to entertain guests with an improv show after a dinner and drinks event, but also wanted an interesting way to entertain them before and throughout the event. We sent them two tour guides who led a group of guests (and three of our own planted performers) on an “exclusive insider tour” of the museum, with outrageous results.  As the “guides” ushered patrons through the gallery, they were treated to unexpectedly hilarious art history and criticism culminating in a pop-quiz with questions like: “Which of these three paintings isn’t actually art?” Answer: The one that your three-year-old could have drawn.

Palm Springs Retreat

William Morris

William Morris, the powerhouse of talent and literary agencies sent 300 agents to their annual retreat. We sent a crew of coaches, producers and video editors to make the day one none would forget. The agents were divided into teams and each assigned a different, imaginative branch of the company, and given two hours to create a promotional video. Our team then edited the videos during dinner and screened them during dessert with a gala awards ceremony after that, hosted by us, of course.

We Gave Virgin All We Had

Virgin Atlantic

Virgin Atlantic threw a big fancy party for their VIP frequent flyers to celebrate the unveiling of their new Virgin Amex Card.  They had bands and dancers and magicians lined up but wanted to keep it fun and swanky so they called us because we're fun and swanky.  We first sent over a squad of over-the-top paparrazi to greet the guests on the red carpet as they entered.  Once inside, we spiced things up with a cast of fun walk-around characters ranging from an always-wrong mentalist to a leisure suited dance machine.
