MTV – Punk’d by UCB
200 of the slickest and hippest thought they were in for two hours of trust falls and role-playing with Salestopia, the worlds best worst corporate training team. Once they'd all drawn pictures of their nightmares, and we introduced the Failure Goblin, we had them close their eyes and try their best to imitate the sounds of a rainforest (replete with the ululation of the far off natives). After we couldn't take it anymore we let them know. MTV'd just been Punk'd.
Cutthroat Improv Competition
After a 3-day conference the best and brightest at NBC's sales force were treated to the most memorable finale. After being split into teams and lead through an intensive hands-on improv workshop, they were let loose on each other in a no-holds-barred all or nothing improv throw-down. While we like to say there were no losers in the bunch, the winners came away with some pretty cool prizes.
Song and Dance in the Bahamas
OSI Pharmaceutical needed a way to spice up four days of power point slide shows and trust falls at their training convention in the Bahamas. UCB TourCo sent four of the most talented improvisers from our New York theater. We rewrote the lyrics to a top 10 pop song, recorded a brand new track and choreographed an entire dance routine on moving treadmills (bet you can’t guess the song)!
New York Survival Guide
Bacardi flew journalists from all over the world to New York City for an insider tour of the city. Looking for some additional last-minute entertainment, Bacardi needed a way to welcome and introduce these international professionals to the program. Our “experienced” NYC Safety Officers were happy to demonstrate the dangers visitors should expect when first coming to New York. From avoiding the many sewer alligators and realizing the value of hugging your club bouncers to the proper etiquette of drunken helicopter piloting, these journalists were good to go.
Fake Tour/Real Improv Show
The Brooklyn Museum wanted to entertain guests with an improv show after a dinner and drinks event, but also wanted an interesting way to entertain them before and throughout the event. We sent them two tour guides who led a group of guests (and three of our own planted performers) on an “exclusive insider tour” of the museum, with outrageous results. As the “guides” ushered patrons through the gallery, they were treated to unexpectedly hilarious art history and criticism culminating in a pop-quiz with questions like: “Which of these three paintings isn’t actually art?” Answer: The one that your three-year-old could have drawn.
Palm Springs Instant Film Festival
300 of the best agents from this powerhouse of talent were divided into 20 teams and given two hours to write and produce a five minute video. Our team kept them on track and coached them during the shoot, edited all 20 videos during dinner and for dessert produced a film festival and award ceremony, hosted by us, of course.
We Gave Virgin All We Had
Virgin Atlantic threw a big fancy party for their VIP frequent flyers to celebrate the unveiling of their new Virgin Amex Card. They had bands and dancers and magicians lined up but wanted to keep it fun and swanky so they called us because we're fun and swanky. We first sent over a squad of over-the-top paparrazi to greet the guests on the red carpet as they entered. Once inside, we spiced things up with a cast of fun walk-around characters ranging from an always-wrong mentalist to a leisure suited dance machine.
